Dogs 

We allow dogs whose weight is less than 75 lbs, and we limit the number of dogs to two (2) per visit. All dog(s) need to be in healthy condition, with their shots up to date (veterinary records required) and are absent of fleas. Again, this is a trust issue. If it is abused, we will keep some or all of your security deposit to pay for getting TPC back into rentable condition. Rates per week are $130 per dog and a $200 security deposit for each dog. You will receive your security deposit back within two weeks of your check out date if there has been no problem with fleas in that time and the Cottage and yards (front, side back and parking areas) have no evidence of a dog staying there.

Rules and Responsibilities for Pet Owners at Topsail Pink Cottage

1. Dogs may not climb on furniture. To deter them from that you may put chairs or small side tables on the furniture when you are absent. Dogs may not jump or damage screen doors or chew furniture.

2. If your dog(s) tend to bark when you are gone, please leave them inside for the consideration of the neighbors. Quiet Time in neighborhood is 10pm (for all noise). You may call the police if neighbors are disrupting your experience (this has never happened).

3. Even though your rental pays for a housekeeper, you are responsible for cleaning up after your pet. Please use the vacuum and broom for removing pet hair inside TPC and shovels (behind the laundry room door) for outside the house. There must not be ANY evidence of the presence of a pet at The Pink Cottage (inside and outside,) including hair, smell, feces and holes.

4. You will need to complete and sign a separate Dog contract so that you understand and will comply with these terms. The owner will not have any responsibility for your dog(s) while you are staying on the Island. Nor we will assume any responsibility if your dog misbehaves or bites any person or other animal or makes a problem for other persons.
