The cottage is a cozy bungalow located on the southern end of Topsail Island about 25 miles north of Wilmington, NC. It offers 2 bedrooms and one bathroom, central air & heat, ample living/dining and kitchen space, a deck outside the kitchen with rocking chairs and comfortable furniture for outdoor dining, a covered breezeway with more dining furniture, a gas grill and extra-large hot water outdoor shower. The laundry room has a washer and dryer, and stores many beach items for guests to use (w/ no rental fees) so they do not have to bring those items with them (beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers, games and beach toys.) Guests can even bring their dog with them to vacation at TPC at an additional cost (see Dogs page..)

One of the unique things about The Pink Cottage is the green space that surrounds our property. Often beach rentals are crowded between other homes and the sense of privacy and peace is invaded by other renters noise and comings and goings, as well as traffic noises. Because the entire green strip between Anderson (the main road north/south for the island) and the sound is not built on (what you see from the kitchen windows and deck) and the acreage behind the house is still a 'coastal forest', there is a sense of calmness and quiet that most vacationers appreciate and mention why they like to return to TPC. There are only 6 houses on Sunset Ave (our street) between the Sound and the ocean and we are the only rental on Sunset, so there is very little traffic or neighborhood noise. In fact, if you do not use the ac and leave the windows open, you can hear the ocean waves at night. Our lot is double sized with many shade trees. Part of the back yard is fenced in so if guests want to bring dogs, there is a place for them to play/ rest in the secure, shady area.

TPC is 78 steps to the convenient public beach access. We offer a wagon that is handy to pull your beach chairs, coolers, and other misc. The Sound is less than a minute away in the other direction to watch the beautiful sunsets or boaters enjoying the Sound. If you bring a kayak or other small craft, you can conveniently put in right there, at the end of the street.

Topsail is known for its quiet and clean beaches, a great place for families to vacation. Fishing, dolphin watching, mom and pop small businesses, learning about sea turtles by visiting a very unique turtle hospital, and our extra large outside shower are things our guests have said they've especially enjoyed. Our beach has so few people you can play Frisbee or fly kites without disturbing sunbathers or beach walkers. Topsail Island also has great restaurants and nearby golf courses.
